Hoya wayetii variegata - Wax Plant - "Variegated Hoya Wayetii"
Hoya wayetii variegata, commonly known as Variegated Hoya Wayetii or Wax Plant, is a striking and sought-after cultivar of the Hoya wayetii species.
The Hoya wayetii variegata features thick, succulent-like leaves that exhibit a remarkable variegation pattern. The leaves are glossy and oval-shaped, measuring around 2 to 4 inches in length. The variegation showcases shades of creamy white, pale green, and occasionally hints of pink. The random distribution of variegation across the leaves creates a captivating mosaic-like effect that makes this plant truly stand out.
This variegated Hoya wayetii is a trailing or vining plant that can adapt to a variety of growth conditions. When provided with appropriate support, it will develop long, cascading vines that can reach several feet in length. These vines are adorned with clusters of star-shaped flowers that emit a sweet and mild fragrance. Hoya wayetii variegata thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this can scorch the leaves and damage the delicate variegation.
