Not unlike many others that fall in love with plants & gardening, I’ve always been a nature lover and enjoy spending my time outside when Minnesota weather allows. Previously only buying herbs, flowers & succulents for balcony gardens, my indoor plant obsession all began with a gifted cutting of a heartleaf Philodendron where my coworker introduced me to the magic of water propagation. After that, I began filling our small townhome with as many plants I could fit within range of the two upstairs windows.

2022 was a wild ride, but caring for plants remained a constant comfort. In February ‘22, my husband and I found ourselves in the housing market, and thereafter upgraded from our townhouse with 2 windows to a house with lots of natural light and a yard for our pups. Just 6 months later, we walked down the aisle, fully embracing the backyard botanical theme. Is it any surprise that our floral bill ended up being the most expensive?!

To put it simply, this shop sprouted in 2022 after falling deep into the rabbit hole of tropical plant collecting as a form of self care. It amazed me to discover how powerful plant care was at keeping me grounded during the craziest year of my life. Thereafter, I wanted to share the joy of plant collection/care and began the journey of building an online shop.
